This was beautiful. Your writing is excetional and I love the way you contrast Arwen's former joy against the her grief and isolation. I think this is the best, most original treatment of her end I have yet read. Heartbreaking and lovely.

Yes, I liked this when I read it on your LJ and it bears re-reading. The interspersed snapshots of her passion are excellent counter to the slower, melancholy of the body of the piece. Captivating and memorable. I almost wish it were longer, but it already has so much impact in this staccato presentation. Lovely - stirring - and powerful. Very nicely done.

Author Reply: Thanks, Ariel. Your insight and thoughts are valued.

It was an exercise in keeping just under 1200 words. I think I went over by a few, but I wanted to keep it short and sweet.

Because you know, the other one is out of control. :)

Thanks again.

oh, how heartwrending. A beautiful contrast b/w the vibrant life b/w the two of them, and the death that lingers around her alone. but what a terrifying end she comes to, to linger in this state. Terrifying, and utterly full of despair.

well done. i think i need a tissue...

Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed it, if that's the correct word. :)

Thanks for taking the time to review. I do appreciate your insights and kind words.

Hi M. Sebasky

I really enjoyed your fic.

I felt realy close to Arwen, as she experiences mortality. Your words floated together seamlessly, evoking a mood of great sadness tinged with realisation of the consequences of the actions of individuals. The flashbacks were quite clear and their positioning made perfect sense to me.

I thought that you portrayed a great sense of an impending doom, which Arwen expected but nonetheless (as we all say now) was a price which Arwen was quite prepared to pay.

Keep up the good work!

Best wishes
