The Prophecy  by Anso the Hobbit 4 Review(s)
DreamflowerReviewed Chapter: 3 on 9/20/2005
Anso, this is absolutely the perfect ending to this story! I love Glorfindel’s amazement, when he realizes how his prophecy was fulfilled. And the line about books being written made me grin from ear to ear! I’m so glad that you finished this!

Author Reply: Thank you! :D I am happy that the muse came back for this story. I am sure there will be written a lot about the Fellowship, lol.

I am glad that your muse struck again Anso. I remember the first part from the challenges but I expect that I was too shy to review then! This is a wonderful trio of chapters. And we all need to feel more than luggage left to be called for even if the end of the road means facing our greatest demons.

Author Reply: I am glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for reading and commenting.

A bit of shortening up the family line there, making Earnur the son of Anarion rather than Earnil; but that's neither here nor there, I suppose for those aware only of movie-verse.

Thanks for the tale.

(And when Gandalf speaks of Minas Tirith having stood for a thousand years in the film I always cringe....)

Author Reply: Um... I did research that (both with the Silmarillion and online) but I did warn you, it`s not betaed yet. :) I`ll fix it though.

A wonderful ending! I love it when folks bring life and depth to something like Glorfindel's prophecy, which isn't explained in any way in the books. How terrific that Merry, Eowyn, and Glorfindel all came to realize the power of his words.

Author Reply: Yes it was an interesting bunny to write. I am glad you liked it! :D
