The Dress Code  by Auntiemeesh 3 Review(s)

"Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp-dressed man -- er, Hobbit."

Nice one! Very in-character for all of them, and I could almost hear Sam speaking -- you even managed his accent!

The Dandy and the Popinjay -- very cute!

Author Reply: Thank you! I like the Dandy and the Popinjay, myself. I may have to use them again sometime, lol. I'm glad you enjoyed this. :)

What a great story! It was amusing to watch Sam try to maintain hs air of 'propriety' in the midst of all the celebration. Even with all the celebrations and honors, at heart he's still the simple gardener we know and love. Thanks for such a heartwarming tale.

Author Reply: I think it's so difficult for Sam because he likes being a gardener. It's his calling, as it were. And here, in this situation, being a gardener is of no help to him. He feels like a fish out of water. He has to learn a new role and it's not easy for him.

I'm glad you liked it, thanks for commenting :)
