Aw! Wonderful! Will there be more of it?

That was a very nice conversation between Bilbo and Pippin. There isn't a whole lot of interaction between Bilbo and Pippin, at least at the time when they are in Rivendell, I enjoyed that discussion! "Pippin nodded. "I suppose it must be a bother to live forever."". A very keen observation, although it did make me laugh! Thank you!

This is off to such a good start!! I'll be looking for more. Pippin would have a soft spot in his heart for his adventurous distant relative.

I liked -

"He had been too young to know Bilbo well from the Shire and it was pleasant to find someone who could explain things to him in hobbit terms."

I have this image of Pippin, rather out of place, with his older cousins too busy planning (and Frodo recovering) to really talk to him much at that stage, and I like the idea of him getting to know Bilbo.

Nicely written with pure and simple images and dialogue!

Enjoyed your Arwen very much. Was very fond of the discription in this story and lines such as :

Arwen's laughter was akin to the chiming of bells.

Great chapter!

O lovely! I almost felt as if I held a delicate shell to my ear to hear the roar of distant waves.

"When I was a lad he let me listen, the sea is a kind of rumbly sigh that sinks into ones bones."
rumbly sigh. ah. perfect.
(btw, ones should probably be one's)

This was a nice bit: the Took was still young enough to believe that others could answer all of his questions if only he matched the questions to the right people.

Funny, I always thought that particular Took went to sea in his youth and never returned. It would be quite a story if he did return, wouldn't it? He'd have no one to talk to about his adventures, seeing how most other hobbits feel about boats.

Is there more to come?
