Has it truly been that long? My heavens!

Yes, the time approaches to go home. He's the Chieftain of the Northern Dunedain, and he needs to take some thought to that; and he has journeys to make through Rhun and Harad as well before he settles back into life of patrolling the northern lands, seeing to the integrity of the Shire and the Breelands, and seeking out Gollum.

Unfortunately, it has been almost exactly one year since I posted my last drabble *sigh*

And yes, Aragorn has a tight schedule at that time. Not only has he business in the North to see to, and some travelling to do, he also has to rout the corsairs in Umbar :-)

I just love the image of Thorongil bored senseless with Denethor's "imperious" yammering.

Author Reply: I see Aragorn/Thorongil as a very patient man. But even he has his limits :-)

It must be difficult to put up with Denethor's pontifications, when you are accustomed to listening to the wisdom of Elrond.

Author Reply: At the point of time were I envision this drabble, Aragorn hasn't listened to Elrond in quite some time. But he has reached a point were he remembers intelligent, fruitful conversations with Elrond very vividly.
