Fliewatuet's Flimsy Ficlets  by fliewatuet 3 Review(s)

/Larner giggles. A bit of twitting of their friend by Gimli and Legolas, is it? As pleasurable, in its way, as my idea of him finding a patchwork quilt has been added to his bedroll for when he goes out with the Rangers of Ithilien.

Author Reply: I think Aragorn needed a good tease now and then. With all the seriousness of being king, he surely needs a break. And Legolas and Gimli are just the two to provide the necessary distraction.

Love this bit of April foolery committed by Gimli. Must have had fun thinking it up!

Author Reply: Oh yes, I bet he did. I can sooo well imagine him and Legolas sitting in one of the more shady taverns of Minas Tirith, racking their brains on how to best tease Aragorn.

But it's such a good idea! Is Aragorn really going to dismiss it out of hand?

Oh - I quite forgot - Sauron isn't there to besiege the city again.

Maybe Legolas's scheme would be more suitable for a city re-accustoming itself to peace.

Author Reply: I think Legolas' scheme would have been as outrageous as Gimli's, only in another way. I think Gimli and Legolas have come to the conclusion that Aragorn has turned much too serious, now that he has become King.
