his ribs protesting the sharp movement with a stab of pain that had him gasping for breath even as he dodged once more.

That was absolutely fabulous. I love the way you captured the Merry-Pippin dynamic. Pippin's angst as he searched the Pelennor fields was so heart-wrenching. And the scene at the end, with Pippin & Merry lying side by side in the Houses of Healing, was so sweet, and touching, and utterly perfect... their words of love for each other actually brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful piece of fanfiction

Lovely! I like the way you had Pippin hunting around for Merry despite his own hurts and pains, and even after he found Merry doing what work he could for the Healers! Thank you for the story!

As beautiful as its companion piece!!

"When he saw Gandalf begin to run towards him he hurried back to kneel at Merry’s side, then gently, with a tenderness that had usually been displayed the other way around, took Merry’s head into his lap, and awaited the coming of help."

Once again, wonderful!!

Oh, my! What a lovely take on the movieverse. I don't usually like stories with that for a setting (though I like elements of the movie in bookverse stories) but this was so beautifully done, PJ could use it to fill out the EE! Your characterizations are perfect, especially Aragorn and Gandalf, and Pippin's determination to stay on his feet for Merry's sake. I love the end, as the cousins are able to rest, knowing that they have found one another again. Great job!

Wow! That was beautiful. That ending was fantastic.

I liked the image of Pippin pushing his own problems aside for Merry's sake. He has such a big heart that so many people can't see for all his cheekiness.

The picture of both of them comforting each other is so sweet.

I think you just made my day.

Thanks.
