Hi, Werecat! What an amazing piece you wrote! I am new to this site and have posted no stories so far, because of my personal life. I simply loved your Beruthiel tales.
Cheers.

Wow! What a powerful story! I thought it was good when I had gotten as far as the 'old woman's' death and the cats' ceremony. But then the ending--with the white cat on the tomb. What a message that would have sent!

Nefarious and loveless, men deemed her; cats think otherwise. They speak of her soft hands that never hit them, despite their mischievous ways. They recall her lullabies and caresses and the scraps of food she denied herself so no cat would starve. When the night ends, they trail off to their nests and homes to repeat the tale to others of their kin, so her passing from this life will not be forgotten.

This part made me cry. You have really had an affect on me that way this morning and it is only 6:00am where I live. It is so true that animals can almost always see the value in people that men only misunderstand.

This, along with all of your stories, is very well and powerfully written. Aplause.

Author Reply: Hi again, Elliska.

I'm glad you liked this, although that, IMHO, is the weakest of my stories in my Beruthiel saga. The passage you qouted comes from personal experience with cats in RL, or at least how I'd like my cats to remember me.

Thanks for reading and commenting. It's so good to know that my silly stories actually affect people.

Hi, Werecat!

Another one of your wonderful stories about Beruthiel, and what a tale! You know, you have spoiled me with your storuies for every tale in which Beruthiel is used as some bad example, because I can't see the cat-loving queen in another - bad - light any more than the one you created. I also loved your "Night course in Pet caring" very much. It is a great thought that the chieftain of cats (hmmm, would anything as indepent as a cat ever *accept* a chieftain over itself, I wonder?!) can cause that much trouble for the poor Witch King... but this story is great, too! It is a great thought that the whole of Gndor and Minas Tirith might sink into ruin and be ereased of the memory of men, but Beruthiel of the cats will be remembered by tose she held dear.
Great story, and great idea! Thank you!!!

Aislynn

Author Reply: Thank you, Aislynn, for your kind words.

Writing about Beruthiel has been very easy for me; one cazy cat woman writes for another, hehe.

As for cats having chieftains, in RL this is true. *stares at her kitties* However, this fits nicely in a fantasy world such as ME.

Thanks again,
~Werecat
