Trust a Brandybuck and a Took!  by Grey Wonderer 8 Review(s)
PIppinfan1988Reviewed Chapter: 27 on 5/8/2005
“You got these eggs from some strange duck that you don’t even know?” Pippin asked, narrowing his eyes.

“Look, what do you expect, that I went up to the duck and introduced myself first?” Merry sighed.

ROTFLMBO....LOL...*gasps for air*... oh, that felt good!! I'm laughing so hard, people in this apt complex must think I'm nuts. Okay, so I am! This was hilarious! You have a wild imagination--thank you for sharing it.

Author Reply: That was my version of 'colored eggs in the Shire'. So glad to hear the it "cracked you up". That was "egg-actly" what I was hoping for when I wrote this. Sorry, but I had some left-over egg jokes and didn't want them to go to waste. Thanks for the review!

“You got these eggs from some strange duck that you don’t even know?” Pippin asked, narrowing his eyes.

“Look, what do you expect, that I went up to the duck and introduced myself first?” Merry sighed. “Pardon me, you don’t know me, but my name is Meriadoc Brandybuck and I wonder if you might be inclined to lend me a few of these, delicious-looking brown duck eggs of yours?” He rolled his eyes at Pippin and waved the egg in his younger cousin’s face."

Thank you for the wonderful Easter gift :) :)

Author Reply: You are most welcome. I hope you had a lovely Easter and I hope you had more luck with your colored eggs than Merry had with his. LOL

What an idea! I've never really thought about eating different colored eggs in this light before. A very good Easter story;)

Author Reply: Thank you. I remember being surprised by brown eggs when I was small and so I thought other children might be. It was the only way that I could come up with to have colored eggs in Middle Earth. Thanks for reading!

What a delightful and funny story! I love Merry's growing exasperation and Pippin's constant questioning. Adorable :)

Author Reply: Merry did have his troubles explaining those silly duck eggs, didn't he? LOL Thank you for reading and for the lovely review!

Lol! I enjoyed this very much!

Author Reply: Glad that you did. I do wonder if Merry found any colored eggs on his hunt, don't you? LOL

LOL, poor Merry, always having to contend with Pippin's unquenchable curiosity. Frodo is wise not to ask any further questions. Cute as always, and Happy Easter to you GW. ^_^

Author Reply: Thanks for the review and I am glad that it made you laugh.

*snicker* Poor Merry can't win for losing when Pip gets in one of his whimsical moods, can he? Of course, I suppose that evens things out for when Merry gets inventive...
(By the way: extra points for creativity. I wondered how you were going to do a story about colored eggs and still keep it grounded in M-e! Thanks to Pippin's twisted logic!)

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed this one. If I stay in my own odd little universe, then I do believe that I can manage to stay out of trouble, don't you. *smile* Pippin logic makes most things possible. I think that is one of his sweetest traits. Imagine, an entire basket of colored eggs! What will he think of next? LOL Thank you for all of the recent help and for reading this one.
