This was tender and oh so much fun!!! i loved it :)

Author Reply: Merry will become quite good at apologizing to Pippin over the years. This is the first of many!

Thanks for reading. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

“That’s what Mother’s for.” XD Can relate.

Aww. Sweet fluff. I'm curious as to the revenge wreaked by the girls, though...

Author Reply: Merry is a little bit spoiled, but that's understandable. He is an only child after all, and mothers tend to coddle their sons. Fluff is good. :)

*squeak* I love Merry and Pippin! That last part was so cute. :) I love Merry risking terrible punishment just so Pippin can forgive him. And then Pippin's line: "I forgive you always." Yay!!!

Author Reply: Merry would do anything to get back into Pippin's good graces, even risk terrible punishment. He's been in worse trouble after all, so he knows what to expect. Or at least, he thought he did. ;)

“Of course not,” Merry vowed. Then he smiled mischievously. “That’s what Mother’s for.”

Spoken like an only son. Ever the little charmer, that Merry!

Another wonderful chapter and I do like your Frodo.

Author Reply: Merry's no fool. He knows exactly who to go to when he wants something! I'm glad you're enjoying my characterization of Frodo.

Very good conclusion. I loved Pippin's insight that Merry didn't really want to share Frodo. Even though Merry himself does not believe this, Pippin was probably right. And Paladin and Sara deciding to let the girls get their own revenge was wicked. Far worse than anything a parent would dream up! This has been a wonderful little story. Thank you for sharing it.

Author Reply: I remember as a kid not wanting to "share" my best friends with other kids. After all, they were *my* best friends. So Pippin is right; Merry thinks of Frodo as his. But Merry will learn to let go.

Yes, that was rather wicked of Pally and Sara, wasn't it? Sweet revenge can often be worse than merely being grounded. It will be interesting to see what the girls decide to do.
