*Sobs*
This is so, totally, adorably, wonderfully sweet.
By the way, if you wonder why I'm suddenly leaving reviews on this story when I already reviewed The Trouble With Girls, it's because I only read those two chapters, because I was reading The Trouble with Love and wanted to read the kind of prologue. But I'm now reading the rest of the ficlets and they are very good.

Author Reply: I'm glad that you are enjoying the series. I do enjoy seeing Merry and Pippin together as children, and how they're relationship evolved over the years.

Thanks for the review!

This was probably my favorite one of this bunch. It was an absolute delight to read, and I can't wait to read more.

Author Reply: Pippin has quite an imagination! I can just see him pretending to be his legendary ancestor, fending off wolves with a rolling pin. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)

*sniff sniff* I decided to review this. Yes, I know I already reviewed it on ff.net, but since the story is no longer there, neither is my review. And this is such a lovely chapter, and dedicated to me, so I just wanted to review it again. *bawls* My poor pip! I once got my finger stuck to an ice cube, and it hurt pretty bad. I can't immagine getting my feet stuck to ice. I really like how you write pip. If I hadn't luv'd him already, I most certainly would now. You just have this certain charm with writing the hobbits, Sam and Pip especially. I loved everything about this chapter. It's just so... *whimpers* It makes me want to hug someone. Preferably Pip. Oh, well. Thank you so much for this! yay for Hero!Pippin!

Author Reply: LOL, thanks for reviewing again!

I've had that same experience with ice cubes, but that's easy enough to rememdy. Getting your feet stuck would be much worse, and having to pour near freezing water over them to dissolve the ice didn't make matters better. Poor Pip indeed!

Sam and Pip especially - probably because they're my favorites, in that exact order as well. I've a great deal of respect for Frodo and everything he accomplished, and for Merry also - he was the one who organized the Conspiracy and all. If not for him, Frodo most likely would have gone off on his own.

Anyway, I'm glad you've warmed up to this Hero!Pippin - he did *save* the cookie for Merry after all. That's a big sacrafice for our little Pip. ;)

Awww! I think that was my favorite ficlet of all of these! :) Pippin trying to use big words, but struggling over them was a nice touch. At the end, was Merry crying because of guilt? Sorry, that's probably a stupid question, but I tend to ask those. This was very cute!! :)

Author Reply: Pippin spends so much time with older lads, he would want to sound as sophi... sophisstit... smart as possible. :P Yep, it was guilt. Merry tried to ditch his little Pippin, and Pippin risked life and limb to bring him a cookie. So glad you liked it! Thanks for reading.

This is great!! I love anything about Pippin (naturally) but this is especially good. The two different points of view, and the whole wolf-Bullroarer thing is just perfectly paced and perfectly clever. Reminds me of when I used to do things like that...wait, that was yesterday.....

Author Reply: Thank you! Pippin is wonderful isn't he? Especially as a child, I just have so much writing him at this age. He's one of those kids that are so darn adorable you can't possibly stay mad at them that long, no matter what they do. Pip's got a lot to live up to, with the legendary Bullroarer in his bloodline, I imagine he (and many other of the Took children) made it a regular habit to pretend to be just like him. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading. :)

Wow, quite a day for little Pip. First he defeats a whole pack of wolves (and seems to know an awful lot about how wolf packs operate - has he been eavesdropping?), then he's so very brave when facing unexpected trouble, and then he's the most generous hobbit that ever lived. It's so great that the little lad who never gets sweets and loves them so much loves Merry more and is willing to share. Just adorable! Thanks.

Author Reply: Pippin? Eavesdrop? No, not Pippin! He was just making that up as he went along. Pippin's just the best isn't he? Well, next to Sam natually. ;) Merry is the only one he would save a cookie for. Not even Frodo would get that honor. Glad you liked it, thanks for reading!

This is adorable! Really it is! Sweet and funny and warm (even if it *is* about frozen hobbits!)

I love the alternating POVs--Pippin, who has obviously been taking a page from his Cousin Bilbo in a story-telling mode, being "the Bullroarer".

Merry, thinking he has outwitted the little one, wanting to slip out and be with the older lads himself. (It didn't escape me that he was the youngest of the teens to slip away.)

Hyper!Pip again: you certainly know the way to *my* heart!

And Merry, being so sweet and caring of him afterwards--just as "the Bullroarer" planned (uh-huh!).

And the final crowning touch: Pip saved him a cookie! Awwwwww...

*Sweetsweetsweet*

Author Reply: You can never have too much Hyper!Pippin. After tormenting - and basically ignoring - him for the last two ficlets, I thought it was time to make him center stage again.

Pippin has quite the imagination and after hearing Bilbo, and Merry and Frodo, tell him endless stories has made that imagination blossom. Either that, or he was hallucinating from the sugar high, lol. And he kinda sorta planned it that way, he wanted to spend time with Merry and he certainly got that. Wasn't planning on being the hobbit icicle though, but as Merry said, no plan is flawless.

And Merry, yearning for some time with kids his own age for a change. He should know by now that there's no getting rid of Pippin. And there's nothing to make him feel more guilty that having his little shadow save him the last cookie. Pippin showed a lot of restraint by not eating them all.

I always enjoy these. Cute story!

Author Reply: Thank you! Wherever hyper Pippin is, cuteness is sure to follow. Glad you enjoyed it. :)

What an adorable - and exhausting - child Pippin is. And inescapable. I am occasionally just a touch sorry for Merry, who never seems to get any time with those of his own age. Of course, he doesn't mind much.

Author Reply: No, he doesn't really mind. Merry loves his little shadow and misses him when he isn't around. The ones I feel sorry for is Pippin's parents. Now they're the ones who really never get a break from him. But he's the baby, got to love him.
