This is hardly fluff and Eomer was hardly acting foolishly. Joy is not foolish and expressing it is like a song. He sang it beautifully thanks to your own amazing talent. To read how the sea had such an affect on him was mesmerizing. His love for Lothíriel is breathtaking. Imrahil is one of my favorite characters. Thank you for doing him justice.

Author Reply: Oddly, I don't remember getting email notices of my review here in the past. Thus it's a wonderful surprise to be made aware of your ever-so-kind words. Though it felt a little frivolous to write, it warms me to know this little story found a place in your heart, and that the things I wanted to show rang clear for you. Thanks so much for reading, and thanks for taking time to let me know. :-)
Best regards,

Erin

But its a really nice piece of complete silliness. And oddly, I think you captured Eomer beautifully. I LOVE how he wanted to see a distant shore rise from the sea. I love his exuberance. This is the man who realized he was King of a proud and fell people and tossed his sword into the air.

Yes - I believe this Eomer. Well done. Lindorien

I don't read much fanfic anymore, but this was worth checking out! The opening descriptions were excellent, and I really enjoyed Eomer's thrill with the sea and open realization of the reasons he loves Lothliriel. Imrahil was also well-done - I like that he sees that while he seems to be losing a daughter, he also realizes that he's gaining a son.

All in all, I liked it!

I've always avoided fluff; is this what it is then? It's not so bad. I half expected something out of some Disney cartoon. In any case, I wouldn't necessarily call this piece silly; just not quite serious. I enjoyed it very much. :)

Erin,

Wonderful! A side of Eomer seldom contemplated or seen. Lovely!

I enjoyed seeing Eomer in this joyous mood. He's come to undertand Lothiriel a little more and he loves her the better for it. And I also like the idea of Imrahil able to fill a fatherly role a little for him. He's awfully young to have the responsibilities he does.

Thanx, I feel like I'm the fairy godmother of the story! Nice characterization of Imrahil and Eomer. Love Eomer's excitement about the sea; good to see him in a moment of pure joy that doesn't involve happily slaughtering enemies in battle...

Yes, this is fluffy, but it is super. Very emotional also in Eomer's feelings towards Imrahil. I loved it. Well done. Eokat.
