| I came back here to post this on my favorites, but couldn't help to stop and read some. It still breaks my heart as if I'm reading it for the first time. And I know that when I settle down to read this later, tears will be falling down my cheeks. I love this story for a very personal reason...and I believe I once told you what that reason is. | "This is a journey that only I can make, Merry," he finally continues. "'Tis a journey of the heart from one place to another, from loving someone to learning not to, or rather to love without needing. Hopefully, eventually, that love will die a natural death from lack of nurturing. The love I felt for Diamond has not been nurtured for quite some time now. 'Tis time to let it go." This was inspired dialogue, I don't know how you thought of it, but it is profound, perfect, and great wisdom that could be used in RL as well. Other than that, the relationship between Merry & Pippin was wonderfully potrayed (in just that way that I love :)) and the story itself felt just perfect. I liked it very much :) | |
