Counting  by Pipfan 4 Review(s)
WoptReviewed Chapter: Prologue on 8/1/2004
This is such a cute but also frightening chapter. Just the fact that even after everything was better with the world, the world inside ones mind could never go back. Very cool

I saw this back on Marigold's Challenge, and meant to leave a review then, but didn't get to. So glad you've posted it here. I can identify with the pain of arthritis and the change in weather. The touch of the counting game was very nice indeed. But what I loved most was your characterizations of Aragorn and of Frodo, both so caring and tender for the youngest member of the Fellowship.Very well done!

I love this story, are you going to add to it. I love that pipin dosen't want to alert anyone to his pain, but is then tended with a lot of care.
Frodo watching out for him,and even sam worries...
Really love it,a nice story...

"You look dreadful, Cousin," Frodo said conversationally.

I love this casual tone.

Is there more to this story? I hate to see Pippin hanging like that... but the story is nicely balanced as it is, with the counting rhyme to start and end.

Very sad and bittersweet. Why is angst so entertaining?
