As the first part was beautiful, in all its sadness, love and peace, so is this second, equally full of light and the heartsong you are so very skilled at giving us!

awww how sweet~ i really like the ending in which Elrond sings Frodo a beautiful song :*) it's so wonderfully described and i love when Frodo is comforted. =) sweet, bittersweet story... first part was very sad. :*( but second part really comforted me as well. =) good job~!

It's not often we get to see this side of Elrond, either in tears or in song. Again your words are spare but more are not needed. I loved this phrase:"...they seemed to melt like colors on the air." This was a lovely vignette. ~TF

Well, I don't often write him, but the character from the book was always clearly a herald for me. I also loved his gentle wisdom and sad kindness there. I guess that is why I like to write his book incarnation rather than the movie version (who has his own 'Hugoish' charms!).

This was just lovely...sad, but so peaceful that, as Frodo says, "Perhaps I should feel grief, but I am glad for him."
In chapter one I guessed that it was Sam and Frodo, but right up until the end I wasn't sure which one was speaking. I think this threw me: "I do not regret my own passing, having lived a long and blessed life." How nice that Frodo could think that!
In the coda I loved this: "Though I know not your path, I have always found music eases any journey." And the song...beautiful!

Thank you! I haven't written many 'deathfics' though I adore them for some bizzare reason! They make it easy to be dramatic, I suppose, and can be an unending supply of angst. And you know how much I love angst!
