Well, after much hand-clasping (and kissing *snort, choke, gasp*), back-slapping, and elven male bonding (a beautiful sight :D), the contest has been called a draw! Had to laugh at the elders once again getting the best of the younglings; they didn't know what had happened...and Haldir and Legolas were priceless in their unbelief! :-) So, Arwen is not mad, Lindir is smitten, and another wedding looms in the future of our intrepid elven warriors! Can they stand the strain? Doubtful! LOL Neat story...I hate to see it end!

Very funny! It seems those twins are *never* going to learn that they won’t get the better of their elders. Still, it’s fun to watch them trying.

I did feel a little sorry for Elladan and Elrohir, as they obviously took great delight in telling their tale and then found that no one believed them! And wow, Haldir really speaks his mind when he feels they’ve done something disrespectful!

I can just imagine the glee of Celeborn, Erestor and Glorfindel when they overheard Haldir’s disbelief. I agree with Mithrandir that it’s a joy to see them acting so light-heartedly. I wouldn’t blame him for thinking they might be a bit tipsy! I don’t know how they didn’t laugh when they arrived back and everyone stared at their hands. Trust Glorfindel to seize the opportunity to cause some embarrassment.

I had forgotten Elladan and Elrohir didn’t know that Celeborn had been affected too! He’s absolutely brilliant at putting them in their place without saying much. I have to say, though, their total respect for their grandfather really comes through at all times in this story.

At least all’s well again and even Haldir seems impressed by the bravery of his lord’s grandsons. It’s so touching to see everyone’s concern for Elrond as well. I too am glad he’s not alone, even if he is missing all the fun here.

I’m so happy for Lindir! And it sounds like Galadriel is already going to be involved with the matchmaking. That last line was hilarious – oh the horror of having to attend, or even worse to help in the preparations for, another wedding!!

It looks like the little outing is coming to an end:( They don’t have to go back yet, do they?!

It must be very odd to be three thousand years old and treated as naughty little elflings. (Of course, they behave rather like naughty little elflings.)
Will they ever be allowed to grow up? It must be tempting to them to remain after all the elders leave purely so they can take responsibility for their own lives.
