Hi :-) I really liked your story and thought the way you built up to the last line, "but what if they could be saved" was great!

I enjoyed reading this one a second time, too. Excellent work. Very entertaining. :-)

As an Elrond fan(atic), I am always on the lookout for any good fics or ficlets starring him. This is on the list of reads, rereads and ficlets to read when I am in need of inspiration. :o) Very nice; I love how you get into his human side. True, he chose to be counted among Elf-kind, but that doesn't mean he isn't "peredhel" anymore. That different temperament creates a somewhat bitter understanding I think you have captured very well. Kudos! Cheers! Kellen

I liked this. It's sincere, deep, well thought out and well written. You said exactly what I have always felt about Elrond, that he was constantly divided between his Elven and Human halves. The part about Celeborn and his attitude towards his son in law was also well thought out. As far as fathers are concerned nobody is ever good enough for their daughters! As for Hugo Weaving, well, my best memory of him is when I worked for Polygram Films who made Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Hugo won't remember, but he used to sit on the corner of my desk and borrow my telephone to make calls. My boss used to yell at him for doing it because he said I couldn't get on with my work! Hugo was there because of the publicity for the movie. He used to wink at me and then sneak back to make more calls when my boss wasn't looking. Naughty boy!
