Assorted Drabbles  by Forodwaith 3 Review(s)

Wonderfully evocative, Forodwaith. It reminded me in a way of the old couple in the movie Titanic who do not even try to find the boats - only here there's a really nice element of guilt, and of doubt: that line "what - if anything - lay beyond the wave." I wouldn't mind seeing more from these two, but even as it stands, it's an unsettling vignette that leaves me thinking. Which is of course just what I like best. :^)

A moment of horror before the reunion. Glad they didn't die alone, and come together elsewhere.

Chilling and evocative. And so very sad. At least they perished together, holding each other until the last moment. There were probably hundreds, thousands of innocents who didn't get out; and this drabble brings them to life.
