The Burping Troll? Where DO you hang out, gal?

Oh - the story. Poignant. You nailed the voices beautifully and you should know that my 7 year old boy who is growing up way too fast has just stopped by to ask me to 'chat' with him for a few minutes because it helps him go to sleep. So, thank you for the story and for reminding me that our babies grow up way too fast and I'm glad that mine still likes a cuddle and a chat. Mine needed ten stitches once from an Unfortunate Encounter with the edge of a bed and I absolutely flipped out, though, only on the inside of course. I could sooo feel what your mom was feeling. Good show, Erin. I'm off to cuddle with my little fellow. Lindorien

This is wonderfully told - the tough life of a ranger, the women who love their husbands and help raise their sons to be rangers, and the joy and stories that bind them together and fill them with hope.

That was wonderful and so emotional. It could be about any mother seeing her son out into the world. I have an 18 year old son, and I quite agree'Where did the years go' Your writing is simply stunning as usual.Eokat.

This was lovely. As the mother of a grown son, I felt for this woman and my son is designing software for cell phones! But to lose a husband and see a son go into such a dangerous world has to break your heart. The repetition of the opening paragraph was poetic, and poignant too when the man went missing.
