| This is a charming story, warm and gentle and full of understanding. I love that Bilbo took it so well and even offered Merry another chance at reading the book. And I especially like how detailed Merry's memories of the incident were. Very nice! :) | |

| This was absolutely marvelous all the way through. I'm so glad to see it finished. This is exactly the kind of conversation that I think not only could have happened during the stay in Rivendell, but *did* happen. Merry is basically too honorable *not* to have confessed all to Bilbo. And Bilbo is altogether too practical not to forgive him for it--lovely job, wonderful gap-filler! | |

| Oh yay! I'm so glad to see this updated! (does a little happy dance!) I love the way Merry is telling Bilbo of how he found out about the Ring, and seeing both their thoughts on the matter. | I like how you're filling in the blanks for this part of the story. And now that you mention it, how *did* Merry get that peek at Bilbo's book? I'm curious to hear about that, too! | This is great. I wonder how the conversation between Bilbo and Merry develops. (even though I know it was the Sackville-Bagginses that were his downfall :) I read your other stories too, and though I haven't reviewed them seperatly, I wanted to let yoy know I enjoyed them. | Oh, I like this! You don't come across many stories involving Bilbo and Merry! And it should be interesting to hear the tale of how Merry found out about the Ring in full. Please continue this soon! :) Author Reply: Merry does actually tell Frodo a little of what happened, and even his own reactions to it, but I thought it was an idea to have Merry tell Bilbo about it.
