| Hm ... considering this logic, it would be much better to be "only" a fosterling. But then would their affectionate relationship not exist, I suppose, and that would be sad, too. Errr ... and I'd love to know just *why* Arathorn was forced to take such a drastic action *grin* Author Reply: But this way Aragorn knows how much they love him. | Oh, how appropriate! They were fosterlings, but this is BROTHER! Poor Aragorn, blessed and cursed with two of the most devious of brothers imaginable, two who've had most of three thousand years to perfect their art! Heh! But I still like the title. Author Reply: Fosterlings were guests, and had to be treated politely, but brothers are fair game - after all, the twins tease and insult each other all the time. Poor Aragorn will never win though - he lacks their experience! | |

| Oh, these chapters have had me laughing till I cried! Wonderful depictions of the teasings of older brothers, coupled with a deep-set love for their adopted brother. (I knew "why" before they told him!) In that light, I think your current title is perfect, especially since "charity" is the KJV term for the Greek "agape'," meaning "unconditional love" -- something Elrond and his family have shown Estel from his early childhood. | Ahhh, they really love him. Of course they do, besides being their brother, Estel is sweet, ardorable, cute and very scruffy looking. Somebody you just want to tease and hug. Author Reply: Well, of course they love him - and Estel knows it when he's not so irritated with them! | |

Yes he is their brother, which means fair game to tease ;) You wanted a new name... how about Teasing Estel?? after all that is what they are doing *grin* Author Reply: I've decided on 'Brotherly Love' as a title, which is the overall theme. The twins tease and insult each other, and that's how they treat Estel. It means he's one of them. | |

| Perfect! I don't know how Aragorn will react outwardly to such a statement, but I know I sighed deeply and said, yes, that's just perfect. :) Author Reply: Aragorn knows they love him, and regard him as a brother - he just sometimes forgets the distinction between fostering and brother! | |

| Aaaaawwwwwww. Okay, I am now happy with the twins' teasing Aragorn. Thank you. Any more on the subject coming? Since the series is so wonderfully fluffy, why not name the rest of them 'Charity Among Brothers' or something like that....then they can tease each other and make up at will. Just a suggestion. Neilia (used to be Nessa until I registered and was notified the penname was already taken, so I used my own.) Author Reply: But you know they only tease him because they love him! The series has been renamed 'Brotherly Love', because that fits the overall theme much better than the original. | |

| way too sweet a response. i bet estel is speechless now and incredibly touched by being a bro and not just a fosterling. like the twins enough again to want to take them home. they have redeemed themselves... Author Reply: But the twins and Estel have always regarded each other as brothers - it's just that Estel needs reminding sometimes! I'm glad Elladan and Elrohir have redeemed themselves :>) | |
