Hehehe! The twins' connection even as elflings! I can so see that. And I love it! That was a fun, light twist on this challenge.

Author Reply: I've always written the twins as having this kind of sixth sense connection, so they were an obvious choice for the challenge (as if I needed any excuse to write about them ...)

I wanted to write something fluffy after the angst of the previous entry!

ROTFL
Like I said before, this is great. Those poor boys, being elven twins sure does ruin a game of hide and seek. Perhaps they should have played the game with Glorfindel and his guards, they would have been far more difficlt to find *grin*

Author Reply: Although they missed out on hide and seek, I'm sure there were compensations for the twins. At least they never lacked a partner in any games :>)

Very cute! I love it that he didn't know they were supposed to actually search for each other! But they get enough of that as wounded adults stranded in the wild now, don't they?

Author Reply: What was cute as children, and probably annoying and intrusive as adolescents, can be very useful as warriors and messengers!

It would have been quite a challenge, actually, for one to attempt to hide - really hide - from the other. And it might have proved quite useful - some time on a bare mountain, perhaps, when a lack of consciousness might have made the usual instincts less effective!

Author Reply: Hmm. I wonder if they could hide from each other, or conceal their thoughts and feelings, if they really tried. (Oh look - is that another plot bunny?)

The fact that Elrohir was unconscious made it harder, but Elladan still knew his brother was nearby. This knack has its uses!

That would detract from the game, I'm certain! Heh! Poor lads--deprived of one of the joys of childhood by their connection as twins and Elrond's sons.

Author Reply: *Grin* They knew there was something they were missing - but I'm sure there were compensations, like *always* having someone to play with!
