Jay's Drabblets  by Jay of Lasgalen 8 Review(s)

Yes, this is a very believable moment for Arwen to be antagonistic! :-) What a nightmare to have brothers and husband! This was great.

Author Reply: I'm glad you liked this. I tolerated my husband being there, but wouldn't have wanted anyone else.

Elladan and Elrohir may have been skilled healers, but they're her brothers!

Why would their mother not ask them to help her should such a time ever come?
I can think of none who loved her more, at any rate. It is a brave husband, indeed, who is brave enough to share the delivery! A nice moment.

Author Reply: Well, although all three are healers, I wouldn't have wanted *my* brother there to share the moment! Who better than E2 though, to understand elven childbirth?

Love fussy Arwen! And the men endured it so very well. What a beautiful ending!

Author Reply: *Grin* I like the ending too - but that's just because I like Elrohir!

When it was my daughter's turn her response was quite the opposite of this, although she almost twisted my hand off my arm. Getting my children somewhat pregrowed, as it were, I didn't have to go through this; but I'm told it's not uncommon to curse those taking part in the delivery of the child, particularly the one who helped to see to it the child was conceived. Am almost glad I didn't get that far myself.

Author Reply: You adopted? Very wise :)

Poor Arwen - and Aragorn. The mood she's in, he'll never father a child again!

Three males around as she's giving birth! I'm surprised she confined herself to snarling at them. Physical violence would have relieved her stress much more effectively! Still - the result is worth the trial!

Author Reply: Even though all three are healers, they've no *personal* experience of this. I'd have snarled at them too!

This is a delightful view of elegant, perfect Arwen as a screaming h*llcat in labour. I can't say I blame her for being peeved with husband and brothers just for being male during this trying time.

Author Reply: Yes - being male is the only crime they've committed, but Aragorn got her into this condition in the first place, so he's doubly guilty!

Ah Yes! Childbirth can get the best of them...even the most serene. This was great!

Author Reply: Poor Arwen - I'm sure she's not usually like this! It seemed a good reason for her to be antagonistic though.

awww! a baby!

LOL.

But seriously, very well done Jay! That's probably one of the few ways she could be antagonistic, for sure!

Author Reply: *Grin*

As soon as I read the prompt, I could see this scene!
