OH my - very nice - but that last 'pang' of remembrance! Oh my! It's hard to remember, sometimes, that Elrond was a twin himself. Very nicely done!

Catching up--yes, I completely see this. I think Elrond would certainly have had a moment when he realized they were having twins and his thoughts would suddenly and painfully turn to his lost brother. And he would worry for his sons. Poor thing.

I think it was probably deliberate on Lady Yavanna's part. Elrond needed twins to remind him of the joys of his relationship with Elros and to rub away some of the sore edges.

Author Reply: That's an interesting idea. Twins of his own would certainly make Elrond think again about his brother, and appreciate the good times. I like that.

"a pang of remembered sorrow".... a nice phrase for what must indeed have followed him always. A beautiful little moment.

Author Reply: I think he must have remembered Elros at times, even if it wasn't always. A moment like this must have been strange.

That "pang of rememebred sorrow" seems to haunt Elrond his whole life, deosn't it? Nicely done.

Author Reply: I don't think it would be something he thought of all the time, but at certain moments - especially a time like this! - he'd be bound to think of Elros. The joy would be the stronger emotion, though.
