My Frodo wishes to dance among them, and your Earendil wishes to explore them! Love it!

Author Reply: In a way, Earendil got his wish - I don't know how much exploring he does, but he certainly gets to see the stars up close!

Lovely, lovely, lovely!

*sighs and tries to think of other words, but fails*

Lovely.

Author Reply: Thanks! Glad you liked this.

I never thought of Earendil as a child. I'm glad you did, though.

Author Reply: This was going to be a story of Earendil the star. I've already done that, though. So this became a story about Earendil the child. Glad you liked it1

Oh this is great! And a little sad to me too since I can't help but see his duty as a little sad--lost to his family and all. I loved this!

Author Reply: Earendil fulfilled his dream, but paid a very high price - he lost his sons :(

Poor Earendil. Tuor forgot to add the rider, 'At a price, my son.'

Earendil paid a lot to pilot Vingilot through the night sky - and I'm still not sure whether it was a reward or a way of dealing with the inconvenience of two half-elves who didn't really fit into the Blessed Realm.

It's good to see happy little Earendil with his father before Gondolin fell.

Author Reply: I think this is a case of 'be careful what you wish for - you may get it.' Earendil paid a high price. I wonder if he thought it was worth it?

This can only be a couple of years before the fall of Gondolin - they haven't long to be happy :(

I really really liked this drabble! Great Job!

Author Reply: Thanks - I like stories and drabbles that have a little foreshadowing.
