Jay's Drabblets  by Jay of Lasgalen 6 Review(s)
RedeReviewed Chapter: 28 on 9/28/2007
It's a good thing I'm sitting on the floor. That made me laugh so hard I would have fallen out of a chair!

Author Reply: I had to go back and read this to remind myself. Thanks - I'm glad you enjoyed it. Poor Marten!

This one is still fun, even on the second, third, or n-th reading. You should write humor more often, Jay. You have a good feel for it. A nice wry style. :)

Author Reply: Pure humour is such a change from my usual style it feels odd! But this was great fun to write. Poor Legolas - he must get fed up with being picked up by drunks!

I started laughing when I saw the summary and I woke the dead with my laughter when I read the story. I have a whole house of relatives now completely awake. This was a classic. We all have thought it before but you wrote it perfectly. Absolutely hysterically funny. I have to go apologize to my family for waking them so early on a holiday morning. :)

Author Reply: Apologies to Elliska's family for waking them, and happy Thanksgiving to you all. It's just a normal day here.

I'm glad you liked the tale - it was fun to write! I think poor Marten would have found more than he could handle though, if it had been an elf-maiden he accosted.

Author Reply: Glad you liked both updates!

It made a change to write such light-hearted fun - I feel rather sorry for both Marten and Legolas!

What a mistake to make! Wonder if it will put him off the demon drink . . or maybe elves. If it persuades him to keep his hands to himself, it could turn out to be a good thing!

Author Reply: It might sober him up for a while, but I doubt this will put him off. He'll need another drink to get over the shock! He's the type where the drunker he is, the better he feels.
