| Gandalf and Elves...wonderful! I like Hobbits the most , but it's good to have Elves and Wizards once in awhile! When Sara kissed Essie, I bet Pippin and Merry shriveled up their noses and cringed!!! Funny, little Hobbit lads! Author Reply: LOL...I *did* entertain that thought, however, they already "Eewwed" the kiss at the wagon some chapters ago. :-) Gandalf was desined for this story at the inception, but Thorongil and the Elves only came in when I read of their happenings in the appendices.
