| Wonderful! How lovely that Frodo would create a garden to welcome Sam to Tol Eressea, and love that Sam created a Red Book of his own before he left. I am glad too that you did not have a "forever young" Frodo greeting Sam at the dock, and mentioning that Bilbo would have passed already. I know time moves more slowly across the Sea, but Frodo would indeed have been looking his age and I'm glad you portrayed him that way. Beautiful, lovely portrait of life for Sam and Frodo over the Sea. Author Reply: Thank you, I have a very strong picture in my mind of Sam and Frodo in the west. | I've read quite a few attempts at the long-awaited arrival of Sam to be with Frodo, but that is the only one I truly loved. Thank you! | Oh what a BEAUTIFUL story - I read your first chapter at another site after I was alerted to it - I was so surprised that it was Frodo at the end but then I thought what a wonderful gift for Sam - brought tears to my eyes - and the same can be said for this chapter as I wonder what Sam would say/do when he realized Frodo was the one who worked and toiled to make the garden for him - oh the ending was so lovely I was in tears yet again! What a lovely, lovely, lovely story! Thanks you for sharing it with us! Author Reply: Thank you so much for a lovely review. Frodo found his healing and his purpose in his gift for Sam, and for Sam his journal was his link to Frodo. | |
