| I first read this on LJ, but wanted to review it here. I really thought this was sweet. You insert so many tiny details that totally make the picture - Ellie falling asleep with her thumb in her mouth, Pippin rocking her... beautiful, heart-warming scenes. I especially admire how you took one relatively minor incident (book and movie) and built a whole scene around it. Pippin certainly would carry some emotional baggage from seeing a man burn himself alive, and that would be compounded by his sorrow over Boromir. A very plausible and well-thought out scenario. Good writing all the way around. |
