All Joking Aside  by PIppinfan1988 2 Review(s)

Argh! More drama. As if everyone wasn't feeling guilty enough as it was, no Pippin's gone and knocked himself out. Perhaps it was a ploy for him to get out of his promises (hey, it wouldn't surprise me!). At least Pervinca forgave her father (she's like me - can't hold a grudge ;P). I'll be waiting for more action - and perhaps we could see a hint of Merry/Estella at the party (if he's even invited!).

Oh, no! Another head injury for Pippin! Somehow, I don't think Merry helped out very much this time and Paladin may be off the mark just a bit on this one. I like Pimpernel's suggestions the most in all of this.

Author Reply: He'll be all right--just a little knock on the noggin. Merry was just being honest with him--like Pimpernel. My character of Pippin is not one to put up and shut up, and at the age of sixteen, he is trying to discern his coarse humor from being frank and honest in his words. In the process, he went a little overboard. I went through something similar around his age (probably older) and I'm *still* learning!

Paladin's off the mark a lot, a tad OOC even, but that's how I wrote him for this story (my last for a while). Thanks for reviewing.
