Tapestry  by Rose Red 14 Review(s)

Ok...I'm ready for the next chapters! *hint*hint* I realize, with great sadness, that this will probably not happen, since it's been 5 years since the last chapter was posted. I've thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to *almost* end...some of the greatest challenges in Aragorn's life were as a husband and father, and it was fascinating to see your ideas of what this entailed. If you ever decide to complete this wonderful story, I'll be here to eagerly read and review!

I love this...I just adore the continuing story of love and adoration between Aragorn and Arwen. :) The books gave us little...the movies a bit more, but I have always craved more of what happened AFTERwards and this story fills that spot completely. The unending love between the two is just beautiful and I love that they, themselves, never tire of each other or the wonder of finally being together after being separated for so long. *sigh!* Ain't love grand?! :D

Taking a little break after this chapter before I read on. Really enjoying these "slices of life" with our royal family. I adore the image of Aragorn as the doting, strict, yet not really so strict father, adoring husband and confident king. :)

Oh My Gosh! I so truly love this fic! I was looking for some good Aragorn and Arwen stories and found you here. I have read this on another site and fell in love with it. This has got to be one of my FAVORITE A/A stories! I've read it so many times and I am so pleased I ran into it again. I just want to let you know that I am still waiting for an update! Your other fic WINTER TO SPRING is my ALL TIME FAVE! It brought me into the world of ARagorn and Arwen (in your own words an "Aragorn and ARwen Junkie!" I've become) These 2 fics were the very first ones I have read (way back in March 2005 when I discovered fan fiction and authors like you!) I just want to say Thank you for such wonderful imagination like yours. I cannot give you enough praise. Hope your real life is great and well organized so than you can update this story! Just to let you know that there are a lot of people out there that have not given up on this wonderful story.

I discovered your story last night when you posted your latest chapter and have been eagerly reading it all day... which has been delaying all of the work I need to be doing! :) But, it is worth it. It is a very enjoyable story as Aragorn is my favorite LOTR character and it is interesting to read about this period of his life with his family. Thanks for sharing this story with me... well, and everyone else I suppose! :)

Author Reply: Thank you so much for your kind thoughts! Aragorn & Arwen are definitely my favourite pairing and I wanted to continue with them after I finished the books, so this story popped up. :) The 4th Age is definitely an interesting time to work in. I hope you enjoy the rest of the fic! :)

Aragorn is such a good father despite his doubts. I really like how careful he is with his daughter -- careful about her future and careful in his treatment of her. The conversation about the dead wife was also touching. Anyone would wonder about how the two relationships compared.

Author Reply: Thank you for your comments! The father-daughter relationship is definitely one of the harder ones for me to try to get across on the page. *g* And I think Doran has been thinking a lot about his first marriage lately, so I wanted them to have that scene together. :))

I thought this was very realistic. They are awkward because they are indeed out of practice and they're venturing into new, crucial territory. I was so relieved when they finally came to an understanding. You had me worried.

Author Reply: Thankies! Aw, no, I'd never have split them up now, but I'm glad the tension came across. :) Now, it should be pure fluff for M/D from here on in! *g*

I always read this whenever I can, and I really glad you've continued this fic! It's wonderful, and very canon! ^_~

Author Reply: *waves back*

Thanks for your review! :)) I'm so sorry there's been such a delay in getting some of these chapters up - I've never forgotten about this fic, but sometimes RL can be evil to the plot bunnies. *g* Now that these chapters are up, I'm happy to be getting into some fluffy stuff. :))

There's just something about Mirra/Doran that reminds me so much of Celeborn/Galadriel - if they had been younger, of course, and if one followed the Celeborn-the-Amanyar storyline. The same conversation without words, the gestures, the mood. Very nice.

And your A/A is one of my favourites. :D

Author Reply: I am so flattered by your compliments! That is unexpected praise indeed with the comparision. :) I'm so glad you're enjoying M/D, it's been a lot of fun to write them, and so nice that they can finally get together.

Thankies! More on them in the next chapter to write I think. :D

As always, you catch these lovely family moments, pointing forward and back, and showing how all these people love and support one another. A delight to read.

Author Reply: Thank you so much! That's what I've imagined the story as, a series of moments, and I'm glad it's coming across well. :)
