I loved the question about the eagles! Heehee... :-)

And the scene w Faramir was very touching --- but I also chuckled a little at the picture of a half-smothered hobbit waving a hanky above his head for Faramir to take. :-P

Author Reply: Thank you. There aren't a lot of conversations in fanfic between Faramir and Frodo, so this was a pleasure to write.

These are lovely, Shirebound. There's so much you manage to pack into these little ficlets! The one with Frodo and Aragorn was excellent, so was the one with Frodo and Faramir.
:) I loved all of them. They're saddening, funny, sweet - it's a nice mix of emotions:)

Author Reply: Thanks, Acacea! All of these, even the shortest, were fun and interesting to write.

Those are so nice, shirebound. You have developed a gift for saying a lot in few words.

“I don’t mind,” Frodo yawned. “That sounds wonderful. We’re ‘well-to-do’, aren’t we?”

“Yes, Frodo lad, I suppose we are.”

“That’s good.” Frodo yawned again, then curled up on the thick rug. “That means we can give out… lots of gifts…”
******************
“It’s overwhelming to be hunted, isn’t it?” Aragorn asked quietly, winding soft cloths about the hobbit’s chest. “I’ve lived my entire adult life like that, Frodo.”

“I know,” Frodo whispered.
**********************
“I can scarcely imagine such a place as your Shire,” Faramir said softly.
****************
"If the Eagles could fly us out out of Mordor, why couldn't they fly us in?"
*A WONDERFUL QUESTION. LOL*

Author Reply: Thanks, Pearl! I'm actually more comfortable "saying much with little" than with writing long stories.

I really appreciate you highlighting some of the dialogue. And about those eagles... !

Ooh! Shirebound! I always get so excited to see you've written something new and I am NEVER disappointed! I LOVE these!! They are all so sweet and yummy! The only complaint I have about them is that I wish there was more of them. Great job as usual. I can't wait to see what you do next! Blessings! cp

Author Reply: Oh, your enthusiasm makes me so happy! What a thrill. Every time there are enough LiveJournal ficlets to make up a bunch like this, I'll post them. I suspect there'll be another "bunch" posted sometime in March.

All wonderfull as always, but I have to claim a special fondness for
'Grief, Wisdom, Hope.'

A lovely Faramir/Frodo interlude....Bliss

Helen

Author Reply: Thank you, Helen! I hope to write more about Faramir/Frodo sometime, if the right idea presents itself.

This is a gift . . . pure Shirebound! thank you! Just what I needed . . . a hobbit moment to brighten the day. . .

*A New Beginning* and *First Yule* -- Great atmosphere of Bag End -- I feel very cozy; the subtle touches of all the texture and shadowed light and sense of peace makes the setting just marvelous. And Frodo's and Bilbo's hearts are so loving. Sigh.

*A Moment's Ease* I love Frodo h/c when it's done like this, in the context of his bravery. But what really impressed me here was Aragorn's character. What a king he will be! What a husband and father! It's just great to be on a journey with such a fine man in his prime. That's exactly what I love about Tolkien and good fanfics.

*Grief, Wisdom and Hope* “And may you find peace, as well,” Frodo teased gently. “From what Merry tells me, your maiden may not be so easy to tame.” Oh, yes. Eowyn herself would agree with that one! And it's time to get a joke in . . . hobbits are so good about making sure that we don't stay serious too long! I try to be hobbity whenever I can . . . people look at me funny but they all have a good time when they laugh!

*I Was Just Wondering* Don't we all wonder why nobody thought of that? Not even Gandalf has a good answer! We wouldn't have had a story, that's why . . .

*Let Them Wait* Oh, I'm so happy for Frodo. I really enjoy bath scenes, hair-washing scenes, etc. Makes me feel good and it's a lot cheaper than getting a massage.

Totally awesome gems . . . thanks again for all your hard work!

Author Reply: Wow, thanks for such a detailed review! And I'm *so* glad you try to be hobbity whenever you can... so do I!
