Had Things Been Different  by Hobbsy 3 Review(s)

This was absolutely priceless! To think there's such a thing as a hobbit who can't cook...it's almost unfathomable. I was really amused by Sam's careful tending of the garden - putting the dislodged stone back in place and watching to see if Poppy would kick loose another one.

Well done, Hobbsy. Keep up the excellent work!

You know what, Poppy reminds me of someone: me! I can't cook to save my skin. I almost started a fire three times in as many months. One time all I had to do was take something out of the oven, the other time I just had to cook rice, and the last incident was actually yesterday when I left a hard-boiled egg in the pot on "Hi" for 2 hours while we were at church. All of these embarrassing escapades are in my LJ, Feb. 10 and May 9. It's an embarrassement, but one I take with a sense of humor, like Frodo. And yes, Frodo and Poppy really should learn from Sam and Rosie! I think they NEED it!

I laughed at this chapter. It was very sweet, and very well done.
