This was absolutely priceless! To think there's such a thing as a hobbit who can't cook...it's almost unfathomable. I was really amused by Sam's careful tending of the garden - putting the dislodged stone back in place and watching to see if Poppy would kick loose another one.

| You know what, Poppy reminds me of someone: me! I can't cook to save my skin. I almost started a fire three times in as many months. One time all I had to do was take something out of the oven, the other time I just had to cook rice, and the last incident was actually yesterday when I left a hard-boiled egg in the pot on "Hi" for 2 hours while we were at church. All of these embarrassing escapades are in my LJ, Feb. 10 and May 9. It's an embarrassement, but one I take with a sense of humor, like Frodo. And yes, Frodo and Poppy really should learn from Sam and Rosie! I think they NEED it! |
