The Only Love-Gods  by Melyanna 3 Review(s)

I am so glad Eomer didn't just fall at her feet. Lothiriel has a lot of making up to do here and I am pleased that he told her so, while still making it plain that he loved her.

I am happy that Faramir feels that she might have more to her than she has shown so far. It will be interesting to see how she manages to recover from this point.

(Imrahil also owes a lot of people over this. Quite out of character for him, I would think to be so undiplomatic and insensitive.)

Look forward to the next part.

Author Reply: I think at this point her only way out is to admit that what she did was completely wrong and to accept whatever comes. As for Imrahil... I'll admit, I'm not happy with how he turned out. I've known fathers to do very irrational things when their daughters' virtue is on the line, but if and when I get around to rewriting this, I'll probably do some massive rewriting of his part in the whole plot.

I wondered how you would get them to meet up again, and they can only get closer from this. Glad to see Eomer still loves her. Lovely chapter, do not feel unhappy with it. Eokat

Author Reply: Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the developments.

Well, oddly enough, I feel like progress is being made here. Eomer knows she's alive and that he loves her. She knows he loves her. And now, as Faramir says, she has to figure out how to earn his trust again. Good. That at least has the merit of being real as opposed to all this pretend stuff and mistakes they were mired in.

Author Reply: You know, I felt the same way after writing it. We're out of the realm of lies and back into Lothíriel using her brain in order to get out of the mess she's in.
