| Thank goodness! I am very relieved that Paladin is going to be alright. I don't think Adelard should be allowed to bring the news any more though. Actually, I didn't leave it there on the other site...I just happened to notice it was a very long chapter, and shortened it so I could add the Bilbo-Frodo talk on the severed part that wasn't there before. | Wonderful! I love the bit about Adelard having his family in his pockets, hehehe!! And the tender understanding of Bilbo when Frodo admits that he is jealous and hurt, even though he didn't want Paladin to die. Wonderful!! Pearl Took Author Reply: I liked that bit, too--I love that childlike quality they all have. What I did, was cut the last chapter where it was (it wasn't like that *before*) because I wanted to resolve some of feelings he'd been experiencing along with Merry and Pippin while waiting for word on Paladin. | What a lovely story. You filled Bag End full of my favoritest hobbits, and they were all there to comfort and tease and love each other. I'm *so* glad Paladin will be all right! Whew! Author Reply: LOL...between you and Pearl! You gals are the best. :-) As have replied to Pearl, I couldn't kill off Paladin because he has to chase the riff-raff out of the Shire twenty years later. I like all five hobbits as well; I just don't know 2.5 of their personalities well enough to write more about them. The half-point comes from Frodo; I have given him cameos in other stories, so he's not so much of an enigma to me. Then again, am I getting to know Frodo quite well in your own Shirebound Library! | Nice story! There is a side of Bilbo that I don't think I've seen anywhere else. Can just imagine Bilbo with a young Pippin on his lap. Will be watching for updates, which I hope is soon. | Compassionate Hearts is right! This is a wonderfully touching story. I really like your Bilbo and the way he is comfortable, yet not quite comfortable with the young lad, Pippin. I love him telling Pip about his adventure and Pippin asking if Bilbo likes his Took side. Wonderful! Pearl Took Author Reply: Pearl, I don't know what to say, except thank you.
