That was so lovely and heart wrenching. I have spent my day at my computer reading this. I look forward to reading more tomarrow. This is a wonderful story.

Your story is great fun, but I have a couple of bones to pick, if you don't mind! Holy crap is Eowyn a tease! Seems to me poor Faz is quite a bit more smitten with her than vice-versa. I can understand her reservations about men in general, considering her past, but she truly needs to learn to appreciate the poor boy. Hopefully she will learn to miss him properly before he gets to Edoras. Maybe Eowyn needs to be reminded of Faz's inability to walk around Minas Tirith without dozens of swooning Gondorrim women throwing themselves at his feet. Let's face it--Faramir's the most eligible bachelor in all of Gondor! He's handsome, intelligent, charming, courageous, talented, skillful, gentle, romantic, sweet--the Perfect Man, basically (but I don't have to tell you that). Geez I love the man! ;-)

Also, I agree with some of the others that Aragorn seems OOC lately. I find it hard to believe that he would take a lot of pleasure in Eowyn's discomfort.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I can't wait to read more!

Author Reply: First off--Faz? LOL!!! That's awesome!
But, back to business...Eowyn is a tease, if you want to think that, but she's got issues as excuses. Issues which are already fading, if the alley scene gave you any indication. :D Hehe, Faz got to second base. (which, I admit he was ALWAYS going to get to, it was just when)
And Faramir was always (in my POV about the books) more smitten with her. I mean, it was almost like he took one look and went, "HOLD UP! Who is that fine honey?"
She misses him, sure. I mean, she did cry a little. Come on, Eowyn's not going to break down over him this soon in the game.
LOL, the Gondorian women swooning will come up, I mean, how else is he a good dancer? Practice! ;) Also, women in general will come up because I'm not going to believe Faramir hasn't had a few rolls in the hay.

Wow! First of all thanks for the update! You have no idea how much I appreciated having a chapter of your story to read today. :)

I'm really glad that Eowyn finally managed to say the "L" word. It's nice to see a little emotion from her that isn't anger or fear based. I hope we'll get to see more. Faramir deserves to get all the love he gives to her back three fold.

I must confess that I found Aragorn's behaviour towards Eowyn and Faramir (in regards to the whole naked thing) a bit of a surprise. It seemed out of character to me. Had Boromir been alive I could definately see him teasing them, but Aragorn? He doesn't seem to me like the type that would enjoy making Eowyn more uncomfortable than she already was. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on this?

My favorite part of this chapter was the goodbye at the end. I could imagine what they looked like as they talked. I can't wait for more. I'm very much looking forward to reading about life in Rohan.

Author Reply: Well, Aragorn was teasing her and Eowyn needs to be teased. Come on, I mean, the war, THE WAR, is over and Aragorn can relax for the first time in his adult life. Can't he get a bit obnoxious--especially after spending the entire night around the Master himself, Eomer?
Anyway, she needs that kind of stuff to get her out of her shell. Aragorn's true target was Faramir--he actually thought it was great that Faramir was there, but of course we don't have his POV (god, no, another would kill me).

I loved writing the goodbye scene. I kept it short as possible because I hate drawn out goodbyes and I'm glad everyone seems to like it.

Definitely one of your best, funniest, and most poignant chapters. I'm thinking that Aragorn is very, very lucky that Faramir didn't kill him after learning that the King saw Eowyn naked, and was amused about it. Aragorn is acting like a lunkhead. A cute lunkhead, but still a very arrogant and complacent lunkhead. Can't wait to see him turn to mush when Arwen arrives. And I wonder how Aragorn would feel if Faramir snuck into Arwen's room in the middle of the night and saw HER naked.

Eomer's jealousy over Faramir is very well-written; he's not as obnoxious as Aragorn, he's just a brother who knows that his precious little sister has another man in her life now who is as important to her as he is. Good for him that he's willing to let her go when he sees how much she misses Faramir...

Author Reply: Mush indeed...he'll be running around like a chicken with his head cut off, Aragorn's so excited and freaked out.
Eomer has a long way to actually letting go--he's thinking about it now at least.

Thanks for finally updating! Aragorn made me laugh with this chapter, as did Faramir's reation to the escapade of the previous night. This is a great story; I can't wait for more!

*Shoots soda out nose* Yeah, um, swinging.... Guess I can agree with Eowyn on that. *Wonders how long his face will stay red*

I also believe that the Rohirrim are not a modest people, to a degree. Just wanted to make sure you weren't envisioning Meduseld the nudist camp, lol. :)

Author Reply: LOL!!! I know! But, please, if that makes your face go red just WAIT until I get Faramir naked in Rohan. Poor boy. I'm just saying, he's going to have it rough for a bit as part of Eomer's eored.

Man, that was a long wait between updates, considering how great you've been with about them! It was worth all the anquish and obsessive opening of my mailbox, though. :)

Um, was Aragorn still drunk? He certainly acted like it. Why on earth would he tell Faramir about what happened? I thought Faramir would kill him. Also surprised that Eowyn wasn't angry with Faramir for demanding she take off her nightgown. Seemed kind of childish, to me, even if I do understand how he would be hurt.

I certainly hope that, concerning Rohirric men and their lack of modesty, that it is concerning bathing only. Doing day-to-day activites, I should think they would be wearing a pair of breeches at least. But, maybe it is more fun for your imagination if they were not. :)

And, do you share Eowyn's sentiments that men look awkward? *Feels slightly embarassed* I suppose I understand what you mean, but we cannot help it. *Shrugs wide, cumbersome shoulders*

Author Reply: I would have updated sooner, but the disk I had kept messing up.
Aragorn might have been a bit tipsy still, he and Eomer did stay up all night, too you know and that makes it worse because you tend to not care so much. (partying experience) ;)

Eowyn was a little bit angry, but more surprised than anything at him. Poor Faramir, though he did get compensated with a little action in the alley. I know he thought it was about time. All in all their reactions were basically tempered by the fact that she was leaving and neither of them wanted it to end on a bad note.

I like men. Men are good and damn fine. Hehe, but, a naked man? Is a bit awkward with the swinging and stuff. LOL. Sorry. That's what she meant, though.
And the lack of modesty WAS about bathing and doing chores without shirts--they weren't randomly walking about naked. Also, I think that the Rohrric men weren't supposed to make exceptions for Eowyn, treat her like a woman and be very modest and act extra-nice around her--she wouldn't have wanted that at all, though Eomer probably made them put something on if he was there. Wouldn't want to expose his little sister to anything naughty ;)

Author Reply: Also? Aragorn wanted to stick it to him. He likes Faramir, but man, he's got something juicy here.
