This is amazing mellon nin I love how you showed the bound beetween Glorfindel and Asfaloth. I like that the steeds of the nazgul are able to get a second chance. The way you wrote this is truly amazing. Did you know that THE HOBBIT might be turned into a movie chek it out on the one ring .net.

Oh Tathar! THis was a wonderful story! I never thought of how it would have been from Asfaloth's point of view! That was very well written. I do love your stories. Keep writing! Namarie, mell min! God BLess, Frodo Baggins

What a fascinating idea, telling the story through an animal's eyes. Even such a special animal as the Elf-horse, Asfaloth. I very much enjoyed seeing his intelligence and his appraisal of the hobbits, and his conversation with Bill was a delight. There was not a trace of patronization in his manner towards the common little pony. I am impressed by the consistent first-person voice and the unusual source of the narrative - not an easy story to write, I am certain. This is really a fascinating study of writing techniques as well as a rockin' good story.

Author Reply: Wow, thank you! As an avid horse-lover, both Asfaloth and Bill have been favorites of mine since I read the books. Who wouldn't want an Elf-horse and a hobbit-pony? ;)

As Shirebound always says, praise from the praiseworthy is above all rewards! Thank you again!

Good show, little hobbit!

Oh, those are great words. Exactly what I have always thought, myself, as I read this scene.

This story is fun to read. Wonderful writing, great canon details . . . a nice diversion from work, although I have to stop reading and go back to work now! Thanks for the fun!

Author Reply: I've always thought that, too. It was one of my very favorite parts of the book. :)

Thanks so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
