Always a Silver Lining  by Tathar 3 Review(s)

Fantastic! Any writer loves those words! I'm working on a story that I absolutely love, and I am very much learning as I go.

If you'll email me your email address, I'll send you a bit of my non-LOTR work and you can see what you think of it. And you are welcome to send yours to my personal email address. I usually give a little deeper feedback when I know someone is really serious about developing their writing. Be warned though . . . I may take a few days to respond. Sometimes real life just has to be addressed.

See ya later

I like the relationship between Gavin and Hazel. There's one hobbit who won't think all men are ruffians.

Poor Frodo - his injuries are rather alarming. I'm glad Jessamine appears to know a bit about healing, and is keen to learn more.

Author Reply: Yup, I'm sure Hazel grows up to be a wiser hobbit than many. And Jessimine will definitely prove a very useful hobbitwife to have around! Don't worry, Frodo is in good hands. ;)

Thanks for the review!

Whew! Another update already! You ARE industrious! I am going to have to wait until after 5:00 to read all your work if you keep posting at this rate!

Sam, speechless with fright by the sudden intensity of his master’s pain, could only helplessly sit beside him and try to comfort him. Tears running down his own face as he saw Frodo’s, he took one of his master’s hands in his, and Frodo gripped it almost painfully tight. Sam could think of no way to comfort him, only to sit beside him and wait until the fit had passed. But his heart flew into his throat and he nearly cried out, himself, when Frodo turned his face into the pillows to muffle a scream.

This part was very interesting to me . . . I would think that it would be hard to write about painful moments like this . . . I'm working on a (non-LOTR) story myself that's going to have some major pain for one of the characters, and so I read passages like this with a lot of curiosity. I think you did a wonderful job.

See ya next chapter!

Author Reply: Well, I'm not sure how soon the next chapter will be up - possibly by tonight, or tomorrow. I've got to go out be productive (using my family's definition of the word) for a while, but I'll get back on it as soon as I can! You'll find once we get up-to-date, however, that I am not known for my quick updates. I do try, though! :P

Yes, these next few chapters were the toughest to write. I love *reading* angst, but writing it is another matter! Especially when it involves the character dearest to my heart, who already went through so much. (I blame Tolkien for starting the Frodo-angst fad, though. ;)) Ohh, writing a story of your own? A fanfic, or original? I've been working on a few originals myself, but I haven't met many others from the fandom interested in branching out. I'd love to read some of your work!

Thanks again for continuing to review, your comments mean a lot to me. I hope to get the next chapter up quickly for you! :)
