An Elf's Best Friend  by Still Anonymous 2 Review(s)

Oh lordy now this is a funny and well written fic. I was laughing my head off the whole time about Asfaloth POv and how he was acting. Man he sure is uh conceited and arrogant. And go Glorfindel, man he can handle that horse and seems to know him already. Jeez Elrond's horses are insane and have odd sense of humors.

Author Reply: Hello silvertoekee, and thank you for reviewing! Yep, conceited and arrogant definitely describe Asfaloth. Er, I mean, Asfaloth of the Cunning Mind. ;) Asfaloth is so neglected in fanfiction, I felt I had to give him more of a character. :) I suppose you might say he and Ainille have odd senses of humor. ;) Glorfindel's one of the few people who could actually handle a horse like Asfaloth, since he's been around a LONG time and has had a lot of practice. I mean, if he can handle a balrog, how hard can a horse be? ;)

Loved the song, it made the situation all the more amusing. I suspect that Asfaloth has yet to get into even worse trouble in the next chapters to come. (And he swings cats by their tails?!) Ah, but what a sight...to see Glorfindel explode. (From a safer distance than Asfaloth, of course.)

Author Reply: Yes, I thought you might like the song. ;) Truth to tell, I liked writing the first one so much, I couldn't resist putting in the second one. *grins* It would seem that Asfaloth will get in more trouble, wouldn't it? However. . . . there's only one more chapter! No? Yes. An epilogue that takes place 2 1/2 years later. But I'm working on an outtake from "An Elf's Best Friend" chronicling his first riding lesson. *evil grin* " "Lessons Learned the Hard Way" *eviller grin* Though it won't be ready for a while. Yes, Asfaloth swings cats by their tails. It's actually not unbelievable for a horse to do that. I have seen goats jerk and pull cats and chickens by their tails and a horse like Asfaloth might just take that a step farther. Besides, it's funny. I agree with whole heartedly. From a safe distance ONLY! ;) Can you imagine getting Glorfindel mad at you? I can't! In the first place, it would take a lot of work, and in the second, I'd be hiding under my bed and would miss it. :)
