Wow! This is incredible. PLEASE write more poetry.

I enjoyed that, it was a little like a piece I wrote a long while age, and still have never posted!!

This is really well done. I've never been able to write poetry and admire those who can. The rhythm and the selection of words are very in keeping with Tolkien. Do you have any other poems or stories you could share?

Now that is just darned impressive! I was searching for stuff on Gil-galad and I could not believe it when I saw this summary. I am so very impressed. I used to teach medieval poetry and I must say this is quite well done. It reads very nicely and the content is compelling too. Good job!!

This is quite nice. What a gutsy thing to do -- to finish somebody else's poem. I salute you. This certainly is in keeping with what Tolkien might have written and a lot of care and thought obviously went into it. It's a little heart-wrenching.

Author Reply: Thanks! I was a little nervous about it... I wasn't sure I got the voice right, but I tried... and poetry always intimidates me. Gil-galad's story always makes me want to cry. How could such a noble elf die? *sob*
Thanks for reviewing.

Very nice, but now I am very sad! King Gil-Galad seems to me that he must have been very charismatic to have had so many follow him. I think you did a nice job completing the poem.

Author Reply: Thank you! I always thought that he must have been a people-person, too. After all, it seems that many of his people would have had a hard time accepting an alliance with humans, so their faith in Gil-galad speaks well of the King.
Thanks for reviewing!

Wonderful! I also adore that poem, and it's great to read more of it. I feel as if we're re-living that moment all over again.

Author Reply: Thanks! I have always been sad that Tolkien didn't finish the poem himself. It's such an epic moment, I don't think I can really write it well enough, but hey, I can try!
Thanks for reviewing!

Oh, wow! I have always wanted to hear the rest of that poem, and this incredible! And I'll beta for you, if you like. You can check out some of my stuff here(I'm Elendiari22), and let me know if you'd like to use me as a beta. I'll be glad to help. Cheers!

Author Reply: Thanks!
And I'd love to have you as a beta. I read some of your stories, and I loved them. I just about died laughing in some of your hobbit stories, particularly Faramir Took's comment: "A wizard has many secrets." LOL! Gotta love the hobbits.
