This is great. I love the idea of Legolas causing havoc for Faramir, and your picture of the household is wonderful.

**Snort** Faramir was briefly torn between leaving his daughter in the care of a wild animal (albeit an Elf-tamed one who seemed more interested in grooming her than eating her), and finding Legolas and explaining, very patiently and very sternly, exactly why This Was Never Going to Happen Again.
***Yeah, right! Like Faramir has any control...***

“Daddy, look! They do like you after all!” That was just *so* sweet of Bregolas and Nimcarch, to cleanse Faramir's wound and, um, calm him down with their grooming... *snicker*

“And did we or did we not decide that having these Elf-bred fiends of animals in the house was a bad idea?” ... “Hmmph. You don’t want a silly Elf-name, do you, little one?” ... “No, you want a nice Rohirric name. We’ll call you Lytelwyn.” *That was the shortest surrender in the history of human/animal struggles for dominance!*

“So we have some time to ourselves. What with the, ah, Elf-bred fiend babysitting.” *So, this whole animal thing was Legolas's plan to increase the family size of his mortal friends? I wouldn't put it past him...*

Jen, I got a huge chuckle out of this story -- several, actually. And a handful of sniggers and a couple of snorts. Thank you for brightening my day immensely!

Oh, this is a crack-up! Somehow I can just see Legolas taming two panthers and giving their cub to Faramir's children. This is a classic; thanks for sharing!

Oh, how **funny**! I love your wry sense of humor! And what a delightful family vignette!

Some of my favorite bits:
the piercing sound that was his dear wife in a temper...
He knew he was in trouble when she started dipping into the Rohirric endearments.
Before his wife could do any permanent damage to relations between the Men and Elves of Ithilien...
...the faint echo of what were probably some very creative uses of Khuzdul.
The cat, after eyeing Faramir as if deciding how he would taste, followed.

(Hmmm, I guess that doesn't leave much of the chapter out, does it?)
