Acharn's Yule Tale  by TreeHugger 5 Review(s)
LKKReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/23/2003
A very beautiful story, TreeHugger. A great companion to your Halloween story. I'm glad that Acharn ... excuse me, Glirel ... found a new home and a new "family" with the elves of Mirkwood. And for the good warg, Breggaur, too!

I do love all the Yule/ Mid Winter/ Solstice stories to be found at this time of year. This is a lovely tale - it's wonderful to see Brethil again, I think he is my favourite of your creations! He is so cheerful and ingenuous. I also love the image of Thranduil throwing snowballs (and being hit by one).

Wonderful to hear from you again, Tree - you've been so quiet lately! I've missed your stories, and your wonderful reviews. Welcome back.

Oh, what a wonderful story! I love Brethil, he's so sweet. I've been reading your stories for a long time on ff.net, but now I can finally review them here! This one has certainly filled me with holiday cheer. :)

I really have to say that I love your Thranduil, Tree. He is so merry and he goes about doing wood elf things like hunting, and joking, and singing. He's a real Elf.

And Brethil is always a delight, although I suspect he is more fun to read about than he would be to really listen to.

This is a very nice Yuletide story.

A charming story, indeed! I read rapidly, knowing my time was short, and got interrupted anyhow, so I dearly hope to be able to come back and finish.

One nitpick? "Shut up" falls so joltingly upon the ear. What do you think of "Hold your tongue!" instead?
