So funny to think if Pippin all grown up w a wife and kids...

All sorts of fluffiness here, very nice!

Author Reply: Three cheers for hobbit fluff! I love it.

What a cute series! I really liked all of them especially the first 2 and last one. So cute to see Sam and Frodo in their early friendship days and to see hobbits react to snow.
Adoring scene with Diamond and PIppin with their second child as well.

Author Reply: Awwww, thanks! When I was first getting used to fanfic, I was just overflowing with wee scenes like this. I'm so glad you like them!

Awww, how sweet! Thanks for linking to these! I loved the one "Looking for Fun in All the Wrong Places" - Aragorn's challenge at the end cracked me up :D

Author Reply: Thank you, Jen! Do you suppose we'll ever get enough of these cuddly cousins? No, I didn't think so... :D

Awwww! Love them all! You know, reading "Looking for Fun..." I had the most interesting vision of Frodo, Aragorn, Merry and Pippin all sliding around on that floor. LOL! Can you imagine Aragorn doing that? LOL! And the last one was sooo sweet!
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: And the fluff goes ever on and on! Hobbits are just so much fun.

:D

These are all wonderful! My favorite is the one where they are sliding on the floor. Poor Merry! For once he is the only serious one in the group. Very funny!

Author Reply: I'm so glad you enjoyed them! A bit of a break from all the ROTK-angst...

These were very sweet little glimpses of Hobbits being hobbity. They show us the pleasures and satisfaction of everyday life, of small things shared and enjoyed. I particularly liked Pip and Merry climbing into bed with Frodo on a snowy morning. It sounds so cozy.

Author Reply: Thanks, daw! Sometimes there's just a need for some non-angsty "hobbityness"!

Thanks so much for "Looking for Fun"! You are one of the few people on my "Author Alert" list.

I love your Quarantined/BCOP series . . . I think that the Sam you portray in BCOP is the very best of all Sams in all Tolkien fanfic. He is more mature, more real, more capable, and receives more respect from the other characters. He's less the bumpkin and more the man. I love the more significant Merry-Sam dialogs and the more realistic Frodo-Sam bond that grows out of this deeper characterization.

You are so talented . . . thank you for sharing your gift with us . . . I've seen ROTK twice now; what number are you up to?

Happy Holidays,

Esamen

Author Reply: Thanks, Esamen! I feel that 'my' Sam has definitely evolved over the past year and a half that I've been writing. I'm so glad to hear that you like the way I'm writing him.

I've seen ROTK twice so far, but I'm taking my mom to see it on Sunday for her birthday (she loves Aragorn passionately). I saw so many new things on my second viewing, I wonder what I'll see on my third! And fourth... and...

Oye, fantastic as always. I'd read most of these before, I think, but it's nice to see them all together here. I think I love "A Winter's Morning" best. The feeling of coziness and love captured in that is too wonderful.

Author Reply: I'm so glad I thought to put all these ficlets in one place -- they do tend to get lost in the avalanche of LiveJournal posts. Glad you enjoyed!
