| Oh, I do like creepy little stories like this! I suppose all children love ghost stories and unexplained phenomena, and stories of dead children are right up living children's alleys. Have you read Wisconsin Death Trip? I think you'd enjoy it. I enjoyed this story. Even though Finduilas really is the middle child (Ivriniel is the oldest, then Finduilas, then Imrahil) of Adrahil, I thought that she came across as a marvelously real little girl, very self-possessed, and possibly smugly enjoying creeping out Denethor. And then they get married! She must have been quite a storyteller for the boys. Author Reply: Thanks so much for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I know I messed up the birth order, but I only found that out after I wrote 'The Song of the Sea' and I decided to stick with it just for the sake of simplicity. If I ever write more Finduilas fics, I'll probably go with the correct birth order. I'm glad to hear that Finduilas came across as real. When I'm writing about children I'm always worried about that. | This was nicely written. It's good to see Denethor different from the crazed man we've met in Return of the King. It shows that he had a side of him that was thoughtful and well...not crazy. About how old was Denethor in here? I thought he was around seventeen years older than Finduilas, so that would make him twenty-seven?
