| Oh, yes,it's getting better and better. Even though I'm not fully plugged into the world of Mirkwood Elves, I really like all the conflict and tension. And the lovely way that the hobbits are coming on the scene . . . and the way Legolas begins, so naturally, to sing . . . just wonderful moments. Author Reply: It seemed to me that there would be cultural differences between the Mirkwood and Rivendell elves. They are separated by a long distance and a mountain range. And wood elves are quite different anyway, I think. In The Hobbit, Tolkien says they are more dangerous and less wise. | |
