| This chapter left me in shock when I first read it. Valandil's resistance to the Ring's power is a great showing of his character. And Elrond's decision to not 'fail' Valandil as Isildur is a great showing of his. The action is written really well and the story is moving on nicely. I am sincerely anxious to see what happens.
