Dol Guldur would have been considered a threat, and not ignored by the elves, attempts at discovering more of the goings-on there would have been high on their list of priorities - depending on how close they could get without interception by orc or spell or something horrible.  Another shocking place to leave a reader (but I'm lucky, as this is complete!!) Thank you.  | |

| Very exciting chapter!  I would not want to be the one to deliver the news to Thranduil either. It's always interesting to try to figure out what would be good strategy in these situations. I keep thinking that the Elves would be very clever but danged if I can think of good stuff for them to do. I can see your Legolas working out the best plan he can and it seems good to me, although it evidently did not work out too well.  | |
