| I can understand Eowyn's response at first, and find respect for her later understanding and determination to cherish the time. | |

| Interesting chapter though I believe your thought on Eowyn's relatively limited lifespan may be partially incorrect as Morwen (Eowyn's grandmother I believe?) is supposedly of high numenorian stock . Still, the general culture shock issues would definitely be right on and I thank you for your hard work on this. Author Reply: Thank you. I think Eowyn should have a long life, but not as long as Faramir's or Aragorn's who had more Numenorean ancestors. It was interesting thinking about how Rivendell might effect Eowyn. | |

| I am glad Aragorn sang that song that evening. A poignant pleasure to hear, I am certain. But well worth it! Author Reply: Thank you.It is a touching song. | |

| I never thought about Bilbo's beautiful and poignant verse to also be singing a song of the Elves in these days of transition for them. That's a very perceptive idea. Author Reply: Thank you. I felt Bilbo's lovely song fitted this occasion. | |
