| Finrod has always been one of my favorite Elves. You do him justice here; he was definitely a far-wandering king... Author Reply: Thank you, Raksha, for the kind review. Finrod may not be Tolkien's most fully drawn characters, but I believe he is one of the most complexly drawn ones; which is why, I think, so many of us find him so compelling. | |

| A good examination of Finrod's character, I find. He is, after all, one of the more favored kings returned from Aman. Author Reply: Thanks for your kind words, Larner. Finrod is my favorite Elvish king, if you couldn't tell. ;) But he really isn't a king in the mold of Turgon or Thingol or Fingon, is he? At least not that we can tell from what we have of Tolkien's works. And the more I thought about it, the more ways I saw that Finrod had a direct influence on the history of Beleriand. I thought that deserved a bit of exploration. Again, thanks for reading. | |
