| Truly a moment of brightness and light, if each star represents a tree from this marred world.... Most interesting imagery, and a most interesting inspiration as well. And I love Yulia Townsend's singing! Author Reply: Thanks very much for reading, and for your kind words. It may or may not be a conceit to imply inspirational links or "pushes" from Varda Tintallė to the Morning Star and the Evening Star, but I wanted to explore one conception of that possibility in this short story.
